Provision of guidance, counselling and support with medical, emotional, social and other problems


To carry out Community Development Work with regards to ethnic communities and their needs



The objects of the centre are to relieve the needs of the older and disabled people, their carers and families including new communities who reside in the North West area, by providing, or assisting in the provision of, facilities, in the interest of social welfare, for recreational and other leisure-time occupation in an effort to improve the aforementioned residents conditions of life.

In furtherance of the above objects, but not otherwise, the Centre shall seek:-

•    To provide a Care Package using professional assessments (working in conjunction with agencies such as the Health Board, SWD and other agencies).

•    Provision of guidance, counselling and support with medical, emotional, social and other problems.

Membership of the Centre shall be open to any male or female of 18 or over and resident in the North West area.


a)   The Management Committee shall consist of eleven elected members who are users of the Centre.

b)    The Management Structure of the Centre will also include (non-voting) co-optees who shall be users of the Centre, and other monitoring or observing officers from the Social Work Department, Health Board, Age Concern Scotland, Park Ward Community v Development Association and the Councillors representing the local area.

c)    Elections of the Management Committee shall take place every two yearly at the Annual General Meeting. Regular monthly Management Committee meetings should be held throughout the year.
